What do you even say to this? I mean, it's nearly unbelievable, and that's what makes it so scary. As I read it, basically anyone can be picked up at any time, charged with nothing, transported to a foreign country, held and tortured for as long as anyone wants, and all on the basis that said person MIGHT have a potential connection with some "terrorist group" which in itself is a very vague and debatable definition. Oh, and nobody with any clout will really admit that it happens at all even though there are many reports and verifiable accounts to prove it.
The way I figure it, I HAVE to become so paranoid as to believe that if I ever piss anyone with any power off, I have the chance of simply disappearing in exactly this way and with no recourse what-so-ever. Hell, I'm as innocent/guilty of being associated with a "terrorist" group as many of the people that I keep hearing stories like this about. The largest difference probably being that last I checked I was still a US Citizen...
