Snow at School

Today it snowed a veritable buttload. At least, it's quite a bit for Kanto area Japan. It's pretty much melted a few hours later, but that's the wonder of photography, isn't it? It actually made my school (normally an imposing institutional grey concrete block) look kind of pretty ... when you ignore the institutional concrete block.

Yeah, it does actually look quite pretty. 'cept that I'm FRIGGIN SICK OF SNOW.

I've decided that there's only one good reason for snow--skiing. Still, even though I live right next to a ski area, it's just too damn expensive for me right now to do often enough to make the winter worthwhile.

Hence, I've had enough of winter... Glad you could find some beauty in it.

BTW--I love your weather terminology; "a veritable buttload". Is that how you teach your students to talk? ;)

Keep in mind, it's only beautiful if you don't see it very much. You see snow all the time, thus, it's getting kinda ugly about now I think. We see it twice a year, if that. Not missing it, though ;)
