Texas is at it again

They just don't give up against those danged homos do they?

As if they didn't learn from Lawrence vs. Texas.

Sigh.

The Peking Duck: Will we let them do this?

Lawrence v. Texas has nothing to do with this case. The Texas law may be dumb, but it is perfectly constitutional. See Lofton v. Secretary of the Department of Children and Family Services, 358 F.3d 804 (2004) in which the US Circuit Court of Appeals held that nothing in Lawrence prevents a state from prohibiting adoption by homosexuals. The US Supreme Court declined to review Lofton, letting the decision (and the state law) stand.

Well, I didn't actually mean to insinuate that Lawrence vs. Texas was actually related to this case. I more was trying to indicate that they both seem rather ludicrous to me.

Regardless, I stand informed!
